The office of U.S. Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) is seeking a Colorado based communications and public engagement manager. The person in this role will work to amplify the Senator’s work in the state, reporting directly to the Communications Director and State Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner between the Senator’s D.C. and state offices on press and public engagement with Colorado communities and constituents.
  • Coordinate with policy and regional staff to plan and execute press events in Colorado, including town halls, community roundtables, and site visits.
  • Coordinate with policy and regional staff to track and highlight accomplishments and engage with Coloradans, including diverse and underserved communities.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience working on political campaigns, community engagement, and/or public relations, with at least 2 years of Colorado experience.
  • Must be a self-starter who works well with others.
  • Must think critically, strategically and creatively.
  • Must have a strong understanding of the intersection of policy, outreach and communications.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow the news cycle in Washington, DC and Colorado.
  • Strong ties to Colorado are required and Spanish language skills are preferred.

Location: Denver office, in person

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
