The Vice President of Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer is joining Friends of Acadia at a very exciting time, where transformative changes are shifting the culture to become more team oriented, project-focused, collaborative, and inclusive.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO this leader serves as a member of the FOA staff management team and fosters strong communication and collaboration across departments to help build an effective organization and positive work environment. FOA is looking for someone to lead by example in supporting a culture of safety, respect, professionalism and inclusion.

Friends of Acadia seeks a senior executive with proven senior management and leadership with either direct nonprofit financial management experience or a for profit background with nonprofit financial acumen.

This individual's background and experience includes strong business management with broad experience managing a full range of operating departments and functions. Essential to this role will be a strong understanding of business processes including strategic planning, operations, budgeting, P&L, and financial analysis and experience and achievement in managing large scale capital projects.

The successful candidate must have excellent people and organizational skills to lead and develop a variety of personalities to ensure deadlines are met, quality and accuracy never waver, and organizational goals are met or exceeded. Furthermore, this leader will have analytical and decisive decision-making abilities while simultaneously prioritizing and communicating key objectives necessary to achieve Friends of Acadia's goals and objectives. The ability to operate as an effective tactical and strategic thinker is critical and to serve as a mentor and leader for all staff supporting an inclusive positive work environment.

This is not your average CFO role! FOA is seeking a leader with a sincere commitment to the organization's mission. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business and at least five years of successful work experience as a Vice President of Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer. The FOA team is looking for someone with demonstrated experience working with Boards, Board Committees, and investment of organizational resources.

The ideal candidate will possess strong working knowledge and proficiency with Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, and Microsoft Office Suite. This person will also preferably be CPA certified.

The annual salary range for this position is between $152,000 and $195,000 and will be commensurable with experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health and dental insurance with individual coverage at no cost to the employee, health reimbursement accounts funded by FOA, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, 5% match on 403(b) plan, employee assistance program, vacation days, personal days, sick leave, clothing stipend, park pass, and 13 paid holidays.
