ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

The Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia fights for the unborn and supports mothers and their children during and after pregnancy. By collaborating with our Associate Member Organizations, we engage in public policy advocacy, social activism, outreach programs, and educational efforts. We strive to uphold the truth that all persons are created equal, endowed by their Creator with the unalienable Right to Life from conception to natural death.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Our President/COO role is critical in pursuing our mission. This person will lead our organization and implement best practices and strategies to fulfill our goals.

This position offers a wonderful opportunity for an upcoming, dynamic leader to move into a President/COO role and significantly increase the impact of an established organization that is ready to grow.

As the President/COO, you will:

• Use your skills and abilities in the most important human rights issue of our lifetime.
• Serve under and report to a truly supportive and engaged Board that is committed to ending abortion.
• In collaboration with the Board, develop and implement a strategic plan to expand the PLU’s impact in the fight to protect the unborn.
• Manage and increase the PLU office staff, and oversee our Guiding Star Ministries Maternity Home.
• Oversee communications, events strategies, and a $500,000 combined budget for the PLU and Guiding Star Ministries.
• Work collaboratively with our Chief Development Officer as he pursues the PLU’s fundraising goals.
• Coordinate with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Catholic Social Services to manage Guiding Star Maternity Home and The Cenacle Family Life Center.
• Work with over 25 local pro-life organizations throughout the Philadelphia region, supporting and promoting their efforts.
• Lead the two largest Philadelphia pro-life events each year – The Philadelphia March for Life and our annual Stand Up For Life dinner, which hosts 1100-1200 guests, including 250+ local students.
• Collaborate with other state-wide pro-life leaders and organizations to maintain a unified front in defense of Life throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

REQUIREMENTS

• A faithful Catholic/Christian who strongly embraces the sanctity of Life.
• Someone excited to manage our office staff and establish high standards of efficiency and productivity.
• 5+ years of executive experience, including significant personnel management and successful project management.
• Serving as the public face of an organization; public speaking and media experience preferred.

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.
