Under the general supervision of the Manager of Development, the Development Associate will assist in overseeing the Party's fundraising, donor prospecting, donor management, and CRM to ensure the Party's priorities and plans are carried out. 


Board & Finance Committee fundraising liaison

  • Assist in scheduling meetings with donors and prospects
  • Prepare meeting briefings, conducting prospect research and summarizing donor giving histories  
  • Assist Development Manager in preparing weekly agenda and pipeline reports for review by Finance Committee
  • Track all Board and Finance Committee development outreach and regularly report out on progress 


Events Manager & Event Execution

  • Draft and send invitations for events
  • Draft invitations and other communication for Board and Finance Committee members to conduct outreach to prospects and donors for events
  • Support Development Manager in host outreach and management, creating invitation lists 
  • Manage RSVP for events, driving attendance & managing attendee communications
  • Prepare event briefings & managing up to participating principals


CEO and Development Manager Support

  • Draft email emails and reply on behalf of Development Manager and CEO
  • Schedule donor & potential donor meetings, evaluating pipeline and teeing up most relevant prospects
  • Assist in updating CRM and ensure pipeline reports are up to date daily
  • Determine and curate call time priorities and lists for all Forward principals in coordination with Manager of Development
  • Assist in staffing principals during outreach time, leveraging CRM, and assure all materials are ready for outreach and follow up is conducted in a timely manner


Required Skills & Experiences:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfortable drafting correspondence quickly 
  • High level of attention to detail 
  • Adaptable to different situations and constituencies, including being responsive to various high level stakeholders 
  • Preferred 1-2 election cycle experience in a finance department, or nonprofit experience


Compensation

The compensation for this role is $65,000/yr.

Eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) after the first month
