POLARIS National Security is seeking a Policy Advisor to assist with efforts to educate the U.S. public, lawmakers, and national security professionals on conservative foreign policy issues. Responsibilities will include: drafting policy briefs and messaging documents; providing analysis and conducting research on national security topics; developing messaging copy and digital content for social media; and performing other duties as assigned.


Successful candidates will bring a strong understanding of foreign policy and defense issues as well as an interest in strategic communications. Our Policy Advisor will have the opportunity to work with and learn from senior Republican national security leaders. He or she will enjoy robust career guidance, regular meetings with experts and practitioners, and access to programming and events in the Beltway. Work responsibilities are largely remote but proximity to Washington, D.C. is strongly preferred.


Salary is commensurate with experience. POLARIS provides full healthcare benefits.


Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Bring at least three years of experience working in national security;

• Hold a robust understanding of contemporary geopolitics and an interest in strategic communications;

• Have strong writing and research skills;

• Be broadly aligned with our values, as found on our website;

• Prior experience in Congress, the Executive Branch, or on campaigns is preferred but not necessarily required.

• Be available to begin by May 1, 2025.
