Founded in 2015, the Cadasta Foundation (Cadasta) is an award-winning, high-impact non-profit organization registered in the United States. It is a leading technology and service provider supporting secure land and resource rights for a more sustainable and equitable planet. Cadasta creates effective partnerships with civil society and government agencies to provide technology, training, and technical support to help marginalized communities document and secure titles to their land, property, and resources, and to use the data for better decision-making regarding livelihoods, land use, climate, and community empowerment.In the last five years, Cadasta has grown to reach over 100 partners in 49 countries, who have used community-led approaches to document and strengthen the land rights of over 6.9 million people living on 24.5 million hectares of land in cities, farms, rangelands, and forests.

Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Director of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships is a newly created leadership position in an exciting emerging area of climate and human rights. The Senior Director will be the company focal point engaging with foundations and philanthropic institutions to increase financial investment in the work and mission of the organization. They will identify targets for and strategic pathways to securing new business development from philanthropic and foundation donors, as well as cultivate and secure new funding. The Senior Director will partner with staff, consultants, and others to build donor relationships within Cadasta's sectors in order to meet or exceed annual fundraising goals.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the field of private strategic partnerships and fundraising. They will have knowledge of key markets for developing portfolio funding, specifically in the areas of land, climate, rights of Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendent Peoples, and Local Communities living in forests and other climate hotspots, human rights and technology for good. They will be able to work in a dynamic team, and will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

Cadasta offers a competitive salary and benefits package and will consider candidates based anywhere in the world. The salary range for the role is $150-165k USD for candidates located in the United States. Salary ranges may differ for candidates wishing to be based outside of the United States.
