The Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA), a membership association of technology and communications professionals located in downtown Washington DC, is seeking a full-time Senior Manager of Programs.  Successful candidate must have experience and proven abilities in delivering high quality support and member services; association experience preferred. 

Candidate will work closely with members and volunteer committees.  Occasional evening and weekend hours are required to support events, special projects, and activities.  The FCBA is a small office with four staff, located two blocks from Metro, with the option to work remotely at least two days a week.  Excellent benefits, including health insurance package and 401k plan.  Starting salary is $70,000-$75,000, based on experience.  Email cover letter and resume to jobs@fcba.org.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Assist association leadership with organizing and planning programs, including webinars, panel discussions, continuing legal education seminars (CLEs), receptions, and other events.

·      Manage and serve as the main point of contact for 30+ substantive committees and regional chapters.  Oversee and guide co-chair operations, including the onboarding process, scheduling and publicizing of events, providing logistical support to ensure the success of programs, and working with the Virginia State Bar to obtain CLE credits.

·        Work closely with the association president, board of directors, and co-chairs to ensure programming benchmarks are met throughout the year.

·        Work closely with, and in support of, the FCBA Foundation to further its mission of supporting worthwhile communications-related and educational projects. Responsible for managing and coordinating fundraising efforts and special events, including an annual golf tournament, scholarship and internship programs, and other community volunteer programs.

·        Work closely with, and in support of, the Charity Auction Committee to organize and host the annual FCBA Foundation Charity Auction. Responsible for researching venues, working with vendors, maintaining and tracking donations, designing and setting up the online auction, and overseeing logistics to ensure the success of the event.

·        Responsible for facilitating events using Zoom meetings and webinars.

·        Responsible for communicating association news, including editing and managing a monthly newsletter, maintaining the FCBA and FCBA Foundation websites using WordPress, and sending association notices via email. 

·        Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

·        Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of association or equivalent experience.

·        Ability to interact with and effectively manage relationships with staff, members, volunteers, and external vendors at all levels.

·        Highly organized with the ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with keen attention to detail.

·        Collaborative leader with initiative, drive, and the ability to contribute new and innovative programming ideas.

·        Proficiency in using the Zoom video conferencing platform for meetings and webinars.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office.

·        Experience with Greater Giving fundraising software beneficial.

·        Proficiency using social media preferred.
