About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations while contributing to special projects and supporting scheduling efforts for partners and leadership.
Interfacing with the founders and executive team directly, you will be one of the first full-time employees at this growing startup. You’ll be asked to support, and often help design, systems and workflows to promote productivity and manage a happy and effective team.
What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, calls, and travel arrangements for partners and leadership.
- Oversee project management for special initiatives, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize workflows and enhance cross-functional communication.
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Assist in budgeting and resource allocation efforts to maximize productivity and minimize costs, including administration of software licenses and usage by staff.
- Act as a liaison between different teams to facilitate seamless collaboration and problem-solving.
- Oversee and execute client success and customer support processes.
- Support HR activities, including recruitment and hiring, personnel management, and benefits administration.
- Take on key leadership responsibilities as required, with support and guidance from the leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
Required experience
- 5+ years of experience, including at least 3 in an operational capacity.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or similar) and basic data analysis and budgeting tools (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar).
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Nice to haves
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with an ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Knowledge of product management or agile methodologies to assist with special projects and process improvements.
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage remote or distributed teams and adapt to hybrid work models.
