Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand seeks a Constituent Liaison for the New York City office. Applicants must be self-motivated team players, able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality, have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and be proficient in Word and Excel. Preferred candidates for this position have experience working with veterans or servicemembers and providing constituent service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing the office’s service academy nominations process, responding to constituent requests regarding military and veterans’ affairs, managing a portfolio of federal agency casework, maintaining detailed notes, collaborating and supporting relationships with key stakeholders, participating in community events, staffing the Senator or representing the office at events across the city, researching issues impacting constituents, training and supervising interns, and other duties as required. The salary for this position is $55,000 plus federal benefits.
