Duties

As a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist (Deputy Communications Director), you will perform the following duties:


Oversee the development of external and internal communication strategies and the implementation of those strategies to support Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)'s messages;

Supervise a group of employees performing work at the GS-13 levels and provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit;

Ensure that all information and materials prepared and released accurately reflect the policies, views, and program initiatives of the HSI, ICE, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS); and

Develop and disseminate material for internal and external use; and advise on potential media and public reaction to proposed policies and programs.
