Job Description
The office of Senator Mazie K. Hirono is accepting law clerk applications for the spring 2025 semester. Law clerks will work with the Senator’s Judiciary Committee team in Washington, D.C. office. Primary responsibilities include legislative and legal research; attending briefings; and preparing for legislative, nominations, and oversight hearings. Candidates must be strong writers, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must currently be enrolled in a J.D. program at an ABA accredited law school. Academic credit or a stipend may be available based on each institution’s criteria. While some hybrid work is available, this is an in-person opportunity, and law clerks must be based in or near Washington, D.C. for the tenure of their clerkship. Full time availability is preferred.
