Senator Bob Casey, Chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging, is seeking an experienced manager and oversight staffer to serve as his Oversight & Investigations Counsel/Director. This person will develop and oversee the Committee’s oversight, investigations, and report-writing portfolio. The position will also lead a small staff assisting on oversight and coordinate closely with other committee and Senate staff on oversight and policy work. Significant policy and oversight experience required, including experience negotiating oversight requests with federal agencies and the private sector. Work in a related position in the executive or legislative branch is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates will have experience developing and executing congressional investigations, writing oversight letters and investigative reports, organizing oversight hearings, and executing a complementary legislative and oversight strategy with positive results. The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong writer, detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple projects, and have direct management experience. The salary for this position is $100k - $125k dependent on experience.
