Mary Peltola’s campaign for Congress is seeking motivated and passionate individuals to assist the Organizing program in an assigned region of Alaska. This is one of the most competitive races in the country and the most important election for Alaska’s future. This is also a great opportunity to make an entry into electoral politics, obtain management experience, learn how to build and maintain a volunteer leadership team, and receive personalized professional development.

This is a part-time position where qualified interns will receive a minimum $500 stipend and $20/hour hourly rate for door-to-door canvassing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform community outreach on behalf of the Organizing Program.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteer leadership teams.
  • Serve as a team leader during the campaign Get Out The Vote efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Deeply held commitment to re-electing Mary Peltola and protecting the Alaska way of life.
  • Interest in public speaking.

Ideal candidates will be:

  • Living in or familiar with Alaska.
  • Familiar with the volunteer experience of political campaigns

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
