ARL seeks an experienced professional to fill this key role on the Finance team. The Manager of Finance and Operations is essential to our success in the areas of finance/accounting and office operations. Core duties include the management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, account reconciliations and analysis, and management of general office matters such as equipment and supplies.

 Essential Job Duties

Finance and Accounting - Approximately 80%

  • Process all Accounts Payable
  • Process all Accounts Receivable
  • Process incoming payments
  • Management of the monthly credit card reconciliation 
  • Reconcile accounts and produce reports
  • Liaise with partner organizations on financial recordkeeping matters
  • Engage with vendors and customers as necessary in a professional and customer service focused manner 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Operations/Office Management - Approximately 20%

  • Manage office supply inventory
  • Manage of offsite storage
  • Manage office equipment, including copiers/scanners, printers, postal machine, office audio/visual equipment
  • Assist with coordination of in-office meetings 
  • Liaise with building management company as needed for day-to-day operations
  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Training

Required 

  • Associate’s degree or certificate in business/finance/accounting 
  • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/accounting 
  • Three or more years of non-profit accounting experience
  • Experience with MIP Fund Accounting, NetSuite, or Intacct accounting software


Supervisory responsibilities: This position has no direct reports.

Travel requirements: This position may require infrequent travel within the US and Canada
