Summary

The position is located in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Executive Office of the President (EOP). The incumbent serves as an Economist engaged in economic analysis. Develops and executes economic policies and participates in a wide range of cross-cutting economic studies. The incumbent undertakes a variety of important, confidential and urgent assignments for OMB leadership.

Duties

As a Economist, GS, 0110, 9/11, your typical work assignments may include the following:

Responsible for analyzing the effect of Federal spending, taxation and regulation.

Undertakes in-depth theoretical and empirical analyses of changes in inflation, demand and financial indicators.

Leads economic and fiscal model development

Reviews current economic and technical literature for concepts, conclusions and data which contribute to the understanding of the effects of existing economic policies.

Critiques materials for consideration by the Cabinet-level Economic Policy Councils.
