Bumble’s policy team creates and evolves the community guidelines that ensure kind and empowering and authentic self-expression in an environment of safety. As a Policy Lead on the Trust & Safety Policy team, you will be responsible for the product policy domain and work with the Head of Policy to drive critical cross-functional policy initiatives, while maintaining industry-leading product policies for Bumble’s platforms.

This role will report into our Associate Director, Safety and Integrity Policies.
What You'll Do
- Independently lead the product policy domain with minimal oversight, building a strong roadmap and strategy, with an eye towards improving the maturity of the domain and mitigating member & business risk.
- Work with product and engineering teams to identify risks related to user trust and safety for new product and feature launches, and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
- Prioritize and program manage technical and operational T&S interventions related to new product/feature launches.
- Develop a cohesive suite of product policies for Bumble’s platforms and ensure their consistent and scaled global implementation; leverage data, research and technical expertise to evaluate and revise policies as needed.
- Exhibit excellence as a user advocate by understanding and articulating the impact - including of unintended consequences - of product changes on Bumble’s customer base, and developing creative but pragmatic solutions to mitigate these impacts.
- Work to redefine or challenge team methodologies, processes and frameworks to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality policy outputs.
- Demonstrate composure, objectivity and flexibility while resolving sensitive, high-stakes situations in a time-pressured environment.
- Work with the Head of Policy to foster a team culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with peers and leaders inside and outside the team to deliver safe, trusted and inclusive user experiences.
Experience We Are Looking For
- You have experience working closely with operations and engineering teams in the T&S space to understand their strategic objectives and deliver policy solutions that enable business goals.
- Preferred: Graduate degree in law, economics, public policy, behavioral science, related fields, or equivalent and relevant professional experience.
- You love solving complex problems and have a track record of strong cross-functional collaboration.
- You have demonstrable experience leading matrixed cross-functional teams towards successful policy outcomes.
- You have an advanced understanding of interpersonal harms and an excellent grasp of the global online safety landscape, particularly regulatory trends.
- You can craft compelling narratives for audiences at varying levels of seniority and technical fluency.
- You make data-driven decisions backed by quantitative and qualitative research.
- You are pragmatic and resourceful, with a keen ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines at once.
- You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with an ability to thrive in ambiguity and maintain resilience through adversity.
- You are self-motivated and able to independently drive results.
- You are deeply passionate about Bumble’s brand vision and values.
For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location.
