Job Description
The incoming Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Democratic staff, seeks a policy advisor for energy. Qualified candidates should have knowledge of the issues and demonstrate an ability to take initiative. Knowledge of nuclear and carbon capture policy is an asset. Prior energy legislative, executive, or industry experience preferred. Responsibilities include drafting hearing memos, writing legislation, coalition building with advocacy and stakeholder groups, and staffing the Ranking Member. Must be a team player, strong writer, and able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Salary commensurate with experience.
