Who are we hiring?
The Coordinator will provide assistance – including project, research and administrative support – to the entire Department staff, but primarily to the Social Impact team. The secondary responsibility of the Coordinator will be to provide support to the Government Affairs team.
What will you do?
For The Social Impact Team
- Operate and maintain the MSG Cares/Cybergrants system under supervision of Director
- Coordinate or assist in coordinating the logistics for “in-community” events, including preparing necessary materials, ordering and tracking merchandise, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external participants and logging related information in Salesforce
- Assist in the implementation of “in-arena” events, including drafting invitation letters, run of show docs, PA scripts, and social media text, and arranging for the participation of government officials and escorting them and their staff during the event
- Assist in creation of Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, including drafting, proofreading and assisting with graphics, photos and printing
- Review incoming messages on the Community Relations email inbox and direct internally to appropriate staff for response
- Handle a variety of miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to facilitating ticket requests and/or donations via RequesTix
For The Government Affairs Team
- Review relevant sources of information on a daily basis and notify team of any identified issues
- Track or assist in tracking relevant legislative items and other important government matters related to the Company’s business
- Communicate with offices of elected and appointed officials and staff as directed
- Work with NY State consultants to prepare agenda for weekly meeting
- Log all relevant interactions in Salesforce and assist team members in doing the same
- Handle a variety of miscellaneous tasks
For Both Social Impact And Government Affairs Teams
- Assist other team members on specific projects as directed by SVP
- Draft and proofread letters, memos, briefings, one-pagers, bios, presentations, charts, reports, summaries and other documents for internal and external distribution
- Conduct frequent research, primarily online, as needed for the above documents
- Prepare agendas for meetings as well as meeting summaries with action items
- Assist colleagues with project management, including ensuring completion of assigned tasks
- Handle a variety of miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to:
- Processing all invoices from external vendors in Coupa
- Assisting in preparing EVP for weekly meetings with Company Chairman, including drafting meeting agenda and assembling/printing all necessary materials
- Assisting with implementation of Threat Management process
- Acting as backup executive assistant to EVP as necessary
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including advanced writing proficiency and excellent presentation skills
- Strong research skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to:
- Interact with all levels of management
- Organize and assist in leading productive internal meetings
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Work with diverse internal and external groups
- Exhibit behavior consistent with MSG values
- Maintain highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in standard office software, such as Word, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Google, Safari, Excel, Salesforce, etc.
Hourly Pay Range
$45,000—$65,000 USD
