Koch Companies Public Sector is seeking a motivated, self-driven Federal Affairs Director to join their team in Washington D.C. This position involves extensive contact with internal personnel as well as individuals in congressional or government agency staff and leadership roles.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Collaborate with Koch Federal Affairs/KCPS team to implement Government Affairs activities which support business objectives of Koch Companies
- Build relationships to establish and maintain a network of contacts with Federal legislators and industry associations
- Gather intelligence about political and policy issues through industry, Congressional, and Administration contacts
- Monitor, analyze and prioritize legislative issues affecting Koch Companies
- Represent Koch Companies at political events/participate in political fundraisers
- Respond to inquiries and requests from business leaders
- Keep apprised of policy developments and potential impacts on company priorities
- Prepare presentations, briefing documents, one-pagers and other materials to support outreach and education of government officials and staff on Koch priorities and communicate potential federal legislative policies on the Company’s business
- Responsible for strategic development and implementation of Government Affairs activities to support business objectives of Koch Companies
- Create and execute innovative advocacy strategies to favorably influence legislation and regulations; educate public officials and staff
- Develop subject matter expertise on a range of priority issues
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements
- 5 years of previous experience on Capitol Hill or a comparable policy role
- Relationships with Capitol Hill offices
- Flexibility for occasional weekend travel
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
