The JPMorgan Chase Policy Center develops and advances sustainable, evidence-based policy solutions to drive inclusive economic growth in the U.S. and around the world. Our team's work is powered by the firm's global business resources and expertise, including data, research, talent, and philanthropic investments. The Policy Center works with policymakers, business leaders, and community advocates to drive effective solutions at all levels of government and across the private sector. Our current areas of focus include: improving financial health and access, shaping local economic development, advancing jobs and skills, ensuring housing market affordability, strengthening the economic security net, promoting small business growth, and unlocking opportunities for individuals with criminal records (\"Second Chance\").

The JPMorgan Chase Policy Center seeks to hire a Policy Associate in Washington, DC. This individual will advance a public policy agenda that drives inclusive growth, focusing on housing affordability. They will report to the Head of Neighborhood Development

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify and track promising public policy and legislative opportunities to increase economic opportunity and drive inclusive growth at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Translate complex research, analysis, and data into accessible content-such as briefs, memos, presentations, or other educational materials-and concrete policy recommendations.
  • Provide project management support for the Policy Center's high-priority portfolios.
  • Assist in stakeholder engagement to advance policy recommendations and position the firm as a thought leader, including organizing policymaker briefings and policy convenings with strategic partners.
  • Support and participate in coalitions of industry, business, and community partners to develop and advance policy objectives.
  • Support and maintain effective relationships and communication channels with JPMC business leaders and CR colleagues to strengthen the development and execution of housing policy.
  • Assist in advancing evidence-based policies and practices in close collaboration with JPMC Institute and Global Philanthropy teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience supporting the design, implementation, and advancement of policies that increase housing affordability and/or economic opportunity for excluded groups, populations, and communities.
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand and effectively communicate a broad range of public policy issues.
  • Experience building relationships and coalitions with various stakeholders on issues related to creating economic opportunity and driving inclusive growth.
  • Experience in housing policy or administration in local, state, or federal government.
  • Experience interacting with executive management and senior leaders preferred.
