OVERVIEW

The Manager of Culture and Organizational Effectiveness will

promote employee engagement and facilitate establishing a positive work

culture. This will include cross organization collaboration to create and

execute strategies to enhance the organization's effectiveness and efficiency,

identify areas that need improvement, and develop action plans to address them.

This will also include change management initiatives that support

organizational transformation; competency training; and DEIB (Diversity,

Equity, Inclusion and Belonging).  This is a hybrid position where you will

work a minimum of two (2) days per week in the office at 1411 Tremont Street

Boston, MA.  Hybrid work schedule may

change and you will be notified by your supervisor.

REPORTS TO

Chief Human Resources Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Manage integrated organizational development strategies, in areas

such as culture, engagement, leadership development, diversity and inclusion,

talent planning, career development, and change management.

Research, benchmark, and assess current practices against best

practices to provide innovative solutions, principles, and integrated

frameworks related to areas such as: organizational culture, leadership,

engagement, talent planning, DEIB, career development, change management, and

performance and how they best integrate with other talent processes. 

Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of culture and learning & development

initiatives.

Produce, support, and implement the execution of culture/pulse surveys and data review.

Lead the staff driven and staff lead DEIB initiatives in its work to promote DEIB at MetroHousing including defining strategy, monitoring and reporting on progress, and bringing voice to key issues.

Lead DEIB training efforts for staff and board members.

Communicate the company’s culture goals through internal communications, staff meetings, and one-on-ones.

Conduct interviews to follow up on cultural initiatives.

Review current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder the organization’s DEIB diversity goals for applicants, program participants, owners, and staff members.

Draft and implement, in consultation with the CHRO, recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds and work with the CHRO to track the results and effectiveness of such strategies.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

HS Diploma required or Associate degree in a related field (HR,

psychology, diversity studies) preferred;

Demonstrated understanding of DEI principles, best practices, and their application in the workplace.

Strong facilitation and presentation skills for delivering training and workshops.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with members of the board and employees at all levels of the organization.

Experience in culture management, employee engagement, or related roles preferred.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

PREFERENCE GIVEN TO

Candidates with multilingual skills (verbal and written). We are seeking candidates that speak and write English and at least one of the following languages (for interpreting and translation): Vietnamese, Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Toisanese, Haitian- creole, and Spanish.

Candidates who live within two miles of Metro Housing|Boston’s headquarters at Roxbury Crossing and who has previous knowledge or experience with Metro Housing/Boston.
