The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.
Position Summary:
The National Political Coordinator will serve as a member of the Political department. This position helps develop and manage all major internal operations and projects of the DCCC Political department, including investments, budgets and cash flow, competitive tracking, major events including Fly-Ins and Candidate Weeks, and supports the National Political Director and Political Regionals.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
Responsibilities Include:
- Implementing, managing, and running all internal political dept. processes including but not limited to the following:
- Manage the investments process;
- Supporting investment decision making;
- Working with accounting and operations teams to track spending and cash flow;
- Managing internal and legal approval on all investments, including hybrid, multicandidate, 441ad, polling and more.
- Managing and coordinating the National Political Director’s schedule,
- Managing and coordinating the broader schedule for all of the Political Department;
- Creating various PowerPoint presentations in a format that will be easy to relay to key stakeholders;
- Coordinating and facilitating internal meetings on behalf of the National Political Director;
- Reviewing and compiling briefings, memos and reports for the National Political Director for key initiatives and meetings;
- Performing special projects and general administrative tasks associated with the Political department;
- Performing other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the Political team.
- At least 3 years of project management experience and some campaign experience required;
- At least one cycle of administrative and operational experience is preferred
- Strong ability to build and run tight, efficient systems and processes across multiple departments and external partners including legal and campaigns;
- Superior time management, planning, organizational and communications skills;
- Attention to detail and self-motivation required;
- Experience with Microsoft office, especially Excel, is required, and experience with G suite is strongly preferred;
- Dedication to electing a Democratic Majority to the House of Representatives;
