Delta Air Lines is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support our Washington DC based Government Affairs team.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures
- Managing complex schedule(s), anticipating needs, resolving issues, and interacting positively with colleagues across various lines of business
- Greeting visitors of all levels and resolving issues
- Building strong rapport and relationships with administrative support peers, leadership, and support staff across the organization to increase effectiveness and solve problemssmoothly.
- Exercising extensive calendar management for Senior Vice President with multiple leaders and resolving aggressive scheduling demands
- Anticipating business needs and priorities, using strong interpersonal skills, planning and problem solving.
- Scheduling and managing small- and large-scale events and meetings andthinking ahead on needs and timelines.
- Coordinating details of event planning and logistics including meetings, A/V conferencing set-up, conference rooms, presentation and materials preparation, agenda and speaker tracking, venue layouts, etc.
- Acting as a guide and information source on procedures, processes, and practices
- Assisting with documents and plans using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including drafting and/or proofreading.
- Completing and reconciling receipts and expense reports in a high quality and timely way
- Gathering, compiling, and reporting information relevant to leader's area of responsibility
- Ordering office supplies, coordinating facilities requirements, and preparing certain reports
- Organizing domestic and international travel arrangements which includes flight reservations, hotels, etc.
- Handling confidential personal and business information effectively
- Keeping tabs and ensures timely completion of a high volume of daily events andrequests.
- Actively contributing to a positive group atmosphere
- Suggesting and creating organizing systems
- Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ideal candidate should be highly organized.
- Prioritize tasks appropriately to include managing events, meetings and conference calls.
- Proficient in various applications/websites such as DBMS, Sharepoint, Smartsheet, SkyHub, Microsoft Outlook and Deltanet (Ariba, Concur, myBizHero)
- This position will be responsible for the support, management and execution of various corporate sponsored efforts and initiatives.
- Must be a self-starter and have ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with personnel at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Prefer experience managing facilities and ordering supplies.
Ability to provide attention to detail, be organized, methodical and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Will have to interface at all leadership levels within and outside of the organization.
