Job Description
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is seeking a National Security Advisor (NSA) to join his Office.
- The NSA oversees the Senator’s foreign policy and defense teams, which focus respectively on issues related to the Department of State and the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, and each of which are led by a Legislative Assistant.
- The NSA reports directly to Senator Cruz’s Legislative Director.
- The NSA staffs Senator Cruz on relevant policy issues, drafts legislation, leads legislative initiatives, is responsible for briefing papers, and monitors broader legislative activity related to foreign policy and defense.
- The most qualified candidates will have prior military experience, Hill experience, an understanding of the NDAA process, and an existing security clearance.
