Policy Analyst – Washington D.C.
Clark Hill PLC is seeking a Policy Analyst to work in its Government Contracts and Regulation business unit and the firm’s advocacy subsidiary, Clark Hill Public Strategies. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. office. JD is not required.
The Policy Analyst will track and summarize legislative and administrative developments; work with senior team members to analyze the implications of potential policy changes for clients; draft memos on regulatory and legislative developments; assist in writing comment letters to agencies and congressional committees; help to draft appropriations requests; and monitor, analyze and prepare hearing reports and follow-up materials from meetings of advisory groups and agencies; and assist with occasional lobbying.

The right candidate will have:
- A strong worth ethic
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Background in public policy, through previous jobs or internships and/or significant coursework
- Ability to process and summarize complex regulatory developments
- A commitment to ensuring our clients up-to-date, real-time information on issues that affect them
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master of Public Policy or equivalent a plus but not required
The salary range at the time of posting is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to, employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
