The Global Policy and Advocacy Fellow, through collaboration with NCCN Global leadership, through leaders outside the US, and other relevant stakeholders, will maintain a comprehensive understanding of the global oncology policy landscape and contribute to the overall development, management, and advancement of NCCN’s global policy and advocacy engagement strategies. This position requires occasional overnight and international travel. This is a short-term funded position (June 2025) with the potential to extend beyond the term based on funding.

Requirements:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Global Research and Analysis

  • Actively track policies pertinent to NCCN's global priorities, mission, and vision.
  • Research and help develop/support relationships with global and regional organizations and stakeholders with expertise in implementation to measure and publish progress and impact on the adoption of NCCN Content.
  • Support the NCCN Global team in tracking and maintaining a toolkit for facilitating NCCN Guideline implementation and concordance outside the US.
  • Help provide healthcare systems outlines for geographic areas or countries that are identified as priorities of the NCCN Global Program.
  • Attend policy and advocacy meetings, briefings, and other cancer-policy events of interest to the global oncology community.

Global Policy and Advocacy Engagement

  • Analyze relevant legislative, regulatory, and coverage policies to monitor the influence of international policy on patient access to guideline-concordant cancer care.
  • Provide policy support for NCCN global collaborative projects focusing on multi-disciplinary and/or multi-regional issues.
  • Build and diversify relationships with global policy and advocacy stakeholders to support in-country collaborators and NCCN global priorities.

Global Education and Communications

  • Assist in the publication of academic articles on NCCN global initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining global policy and advocacy content.
  • Help communicate global oncology policy issues to all relevant stakeholders.

EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • Successful completion of a master’s program in public health, global health, health policy, public policy, or another related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Global health experience preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Superb writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external staff, managers, and physicians at various levels.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the global health landscape.
