Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper — a laid off geologist turned brewpub owner turned elected official — seeks a San Luis Valley Regional Representative to serve as an outreach liaison for communities across the San Luis Valley region of Colorado. This role is based in Colorado and will require travel throughout the region.

The main responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with community leaders and local government representatives; 
  • Attending community events to gather information and update stakeholders on the Senator’s work;
  • Ensuring local priorities and issues are communicated to the team;
  • Consulting on and staffing the Senator’s events in the region;
  • Other duties as assigned to support the outreach team.

Ideal candidates are self-driven, critical thinking, excellent communicators (written and verbal), and understand the communities across the San Luis Valley region. We value proactiveness, big-picture thinking, and the ability to collaborate. 

Our office prioritizes building a diverse team.
