The Corporate Responsibility (CR) Division is responsible for the development and implementation of the firm's CR agenda by crafting goals, policies and initiatives that align with and support the firm's business strategies, reflect our values and support the communities where we do business. The Division includes Global Philanthropy (GP), Global Government Relations and Public Policy, the JPMorgan Chase Institute and Sustainable Finance.

JPMorgan Chase CR is looking to fill a Vice President role in the Global Philanthropy team, focused on Latin America, based in Sao Paulo or New York, which will contribute to the management, development and implementation of the firm's philanthropic programs, across Latin American countries (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru). The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in economic inclusion programs, such as jobs & skills, small business support and/or financial health.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Market coverage:

Plan, develop and execute on country and regional Global Philanthropy strategy:

Develop, manage and execute philanthropic programmes, in partnership with non-profit partners, that advance the firm's philanthropic ambitions in specified Latin American countries

Develop strategies and programmes that align local priorities with the focus areas of the JPMC Foundation and wider Corporate Responsibility agenda

Build strong networks with relevant stakeholders internally and externally to ensure that the work is well positioned, relevant and visible to the national and regional agendas

Respond to social, political and economic changes that may impact the firm's programs and/or our broader reputation as a result of our philanthropic activities.

Collaborate Across the Firm

Work in partnership with J.P. Morgan country management committees, cross-CR partners and other JPM functions (including HR, Communications) to build strong local oversight and business engagement, as well as specific plans to activate the grants portfolio amongst internal and external stakeholders to maximise awareness and visibility

Provide regular thematic and geographic updates / briefings internally and proactively identify and manage opportunities for engagement (events, site visits etc.) to ensure that local and global stakeholders are well informed and engaged

Provide point of contact and input to shape the delivery of firm-wide signature volunteering initiatives (including Service Corps, The Schools Challenge).

Promote engagement and external visibility:

Represent the firm in appropriate settings with public and private sector stakeholders (conferences, meetings, launches, roundtables, etc)

Proactively identify opportunities where J.P. Morgan can amplify impact on the ground through non-financial contributions, based on the broader resources of the firm.

Grant-making portfolio management:

Manage Grant Portfolio:

Proactively research and identify opportunities and needs (data, programming) and develop relationships and programs with non-profit and NGO partners to address them coherently with the broader strategy

Conduct effective due diligence and risk analysis, leveraging the broader firm and Lines of Businesses, to ensure that the firm's resources and reputations are protected

Develop and present strong proposals through national, regional and global approvals processes

Manage ongoing work with non-profit and NGO partners to ensure that work is delivered, monitored and measured to achieve agreed milestones and impact

Provide quarterly management reporting on impact progress (both financial and non-financial contributions), produce management decks etc.

Share expertise:

Serve as an internal resource and expert on selected economic inclusion topics, sharing news, best practices, and policy developments with colleagues throughout the firm.

Plan convening, evaluation and communications activities; share and reflect on experiences in the field and related program activity.

Stay informed on timely small business policy, research and methods.

Skills and experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in economic inclusion programs in Latin America

Experience working in non-profit, corporate, and/or government environment; understanding of grant-making and ability to track record and assess capacity of not for profit organizations

Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically about program design and implementation and to develop practical solutions

Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and on complex issues, from field workers to senior civil servants and/or corporate/business leaders

Self-motivated and ability to work both in a team as well as in independent context

Excellent writing, communications and project management skills

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise

Capable of working under pressure and against tight deadlines

Track record on developing and delivering work which has yielded demonstrable social impact

Proficient Spanish and Portuguese language skills

Background in workforce development or small business development would be an advantage.
