Job Title: Social Media Marketing Manager, eCommerce & Licensing

Job Summary: Leads social media communication projects that support and enhance the organization's Brand, eCommerce and Licensing operations. Communicates the corporate image or products through social media networks and tools.

The Social Media Marketing Manager, eCommerce & Licensing will work closely with the Director, Digital Consumer Engagement (DiCE) and Manager, Social Media Marketing to contribute to social media marketing campaigns for The Pokémon Company International’s eCommerce, licensing and consumer products businesses. TPCi is looking for a motivated, independent self-starter who can identify and present the right opportunities for the core Pokémon customer looking to drape themselves with the latest Pokémon gear, purchase the hottest new products, or add to their growing collections. This role will often be coordinating cross-departmentally between Marketing, Licensing, eCommerce, Publishing, Public Relations, Product and more to support organizational, promotional, and brand goals. This role will also work adjacently with the team’s Social Media Specialists on various campaigns, announcements, and launches to support Pokémon's brand and relevant products and services.

What you’ll do

  • Act as a main point of contact for TPCi’s social media marketing endeavors with internal and external partners in support of our eCommerce, licensing, publishing and overall consumer products businesses.
  • Develop unique and customer-focused social media campaigns and tactics to drive awareness and sales for Pokémon’s consumer products available on pokemoncenter.com and through our licensing and retail partners.
  • Ideate and execute on audience segmentation and targeting strategies to better serve the Pokémon customer.
  • Integrate social commerce tools and strategies into TPCi’s owned channels to create an optimized shopping experience for fans.
  • Support the launch of various collabs, products, releases, announcements, and more.
  • Monitor and analyze social media channels to build a community of followers, enhance engagement, and report on the success of social media projects and campaigns.
  • Contribute to the global social media editorial calendar to meet organizational and promotional marketing goals and beats.
  • Oversee social media creative, copy, and project deliverables while conducting quality assurance along the way.
  • Define and evolve KPIs for TPCi social channels and marketing campaigns with an emphasis on meaningful measurement and actionable key learnings.
  • Actively work with the entirety of the Digital Consumer Engagement team to create synergy between all consumer-facing digital platforms and channels (I.e., Email, Live Streaming, Community, etc.).
  • Regularly monitor industry trends, providing timely POVs and insights on platform updates, competitor activities, tools, and applications.

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of related professional experience.
  • Specialized experience setting up and operating brand accounts equipped with social commerce capabilities.
  • Expertise in social media management; knowledge of how to leverage social media platforms to achieve business goals.
  • Experience in a variety of social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
  • Functional experience with social media publishing, listening, and reporting tools and software.
  • Understanding the “always on” nature of social media with a willingness to work off-hours as needed to ensure best practice, channel security, brand safety, and timeliness of messaging.
  • Experience developing compelling social media campaigns and effective content strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of diverse audiences including gamers, anime fans, TCG players and geek culture in general.
  • Experience creating, implementing, measuring, and reporting on campaign and content performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Base salary range: $97000.00 - 147000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates qualifications and experience uniquely.
