THE POSITION
The Manager, Exhibitor & Sponsor Communications is responsible for the creation, production, and distribution of all non-retailer messaging and materials around RILA Conferences as well as RILA Committee Partnerships, Digital Opportunities, and other non-conference related sponsorships.
The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) is the U.S. trade association for leading retailers. We convene decision-makers, advocate for the industry, and promote operational excellence and innovation. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create sales materials as needed including but not limited to: event prospectus, sales sheets for impromptu sponsorship opportunities, and other business development kits.
- Oversee outbound prospecting sales communications to prospective exhibitors, sponsors, or strategic partners including creation, production, and distribution
- Oversee outbound communications to all contracted exhibitors, sponsors, or strategic partners including creation, production, and distribution through MapYourShow, Informz, and Outlook
- Manage distribution of twice weekly service provider newsletter email communication
- Manage exhibitor, sponsor, and strategic partner brand exposure on all materials including but not limited to: sales pieces, websites, event signage, and event mobile applications
- Management of all business development facing website properties on RILA.org websites
- Assist with sponsorship renewals and all exhibitor and sponsor relations while onsite at RILA Conferences
- Perform other duties/special projects as assigned
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Curiosity and a desire to learn and grow in the position
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- 2 years of experience in business development, content production, project management, and/or marketing/communications required
- Enjoys working collaboratively with a team
- Works well independently, is self-driven, and takes initiative
- Some travel required

$60,000
