POSITION SUMMARY
Urban Alliance is currently seeking a Program Manager to manage Program Coordinators, oversee recruitment, plan/execute events and lead daily operations of the Urban Alliance High School Internship Program in Chicago. The Program Manager will report to the Chicago Program Director.

Our programs are bridging the gap between education and the workforce by opening the doors for high school students to receive essential skills training, access career-readiness opportunities, digital literacy training, individualized mentoring, and ongoing post-high school planning support.
Program Manager Responsibilities
Program Management - 40% of your time
- Work alongside the Program Director in managing Urban Alliance High School Internship Program in Chicago.
- Maintain High School Internship Program calendar
- Works with IPLs and PD to recruit students into the program.
- Oversee planning and execution of program events with assistance from Program Director.
- Ensure that the UA Core Values are entrenched in all program activities.
Personnel Management - 60% of your time
- Supervise 4 Program Coordinators through routine check-ins and formal evaluations.
- Serve as first responder to Program Coordinator grievances and concerns.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training Program Coordinators.
- Ensure UA Core Values are entrenched in the day-to-day activities and actions of Program team.
Data Management & Program Evaluation
- Monitor program successes and challenges based on pre-determined metrics and work with Program Director to make adjustments or troubleshoot challenges as needed.
- Monitor Salesforce tracking, attendance, and lead weekly tracking meetings including quality of case notes within established deadlines.
- Assist UA staff including Development Director, Communications Manager and evaluation team with the collection of data and student stories as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years working with and/or on behalf of at-risk youth.
- Must have two or more years of supervising 4 or more direct reports
- A results oriented history of professional achievement.
- Self-reflective and hunger to continuously improve.
- Extensive facilitation and/or teaching experience.
- Ability to connect and engage with high school aged youth.
- Experience working with community organizations and schools in under-resourced areas.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to present oneself professionally and maintain effective, professional working relationships with youth and adults.
- Flexibility and a capacity to quickly adapt to change
- Ability to travel between assigned high schools.
