Responsibilities

As a Physical Security Specialist, GS-0080-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:

The incumbent serves as the Division Director, responsible for the prevention of unauthorized access, use, theft, espionage, damage, and disclosure of classified national security information by implementing loss prevention activities and education awareness programs for all White House Complex (WHC) personnel. The incumbent supervises a staff of employees and contractors who perform work involved in security disciplines to include: physical, information, and operations security as well as oversees the work of a team of physical security specialists comprised of other government employees, and contractor personnel to carry out day-to-day operations. This position serves as a liaison to the security community to establish, implement, advocate, and respond to physical security management needs and requirements.
