Job Description
We Testify is seeking a Development Consultant to support the organization in building a diversified development plan and robust strategy that elevates abortion storytellers as experts and leaders. The Development Consultant will support the Co-Executive Directors to grow the current budget ($1M+), ensuring sustainability through anticipated and unanticipated transition, as well as build, install, and provide training on processes and systems to institute fundraising in all aspects of our work.
The Development Consultant will support We Testify’s executive team to build a solid foundation for a grassroots individual giving and membership program, introduce them to new sources of major gifts, as well as prepare for the organization’s 10th-anniversary celebration in 2026.
Project Overview
We Testify is seeking a Development Consultant to support the organization in building a diversified development plan and robust strategy that elevates abortion storytellers as experts and leaders. The Development Consultant will support the Co-Executive Directors to grow the current budget ($1M+), ensuring sustainability through anticipated and unanticipated transition, as well as build, install, and provide training on processes and systems to institute fundraising in all aspects of our work.
The Development Consultant will support We Testify’s executive team to build a solid foundation for a grassroots individual giving and membership program, introduce them to new sources of major gifts, as well as prepare for the organization’s 10th-anniversary celebration in 2026.
Scope of Work
- Advise the executive directors to fortify existing relationships with We Testify’s partners, while identifying potential areas of growth.
- Oversee creation of a calendar with important dates, deadlines, and other duties.
- Support the creation of an up-to-date database with important information and milestones.
- Train executive directors on developing and executing a plan for partner cultivation and overall development of the organization.
- Identify strategies to grow We Testify’s partnership base
- Research current and prospective partnership opportunities.
- Partner with the operations and executive staff, to support planning of fundraising and cultivation events.
- Ideate and oversee outreach to prospective partners
- Support the executive directors in building an end-of-year engagement program
Timeline and Compensation
This is a multi-project engagement that will continue to August 1. We have a budget of $10,000 for this position.
