Job Description
Brad Lander’s 2025 campaign for Mayor of New York City seeks an organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic staff member to support in the areas of fundraising, compliance, and candidate staffing support. This is a full time position, with nights & weekends occasionally required.
Fundraising
- Call time manager; staffing candidate call time including detailed note taking for follow up, assistance with preparation of calls, and relevant call follow up
- Donor database maintenance
- Event support; creation of invitation materials, RSVP updating, and staffing
- Prospect research for donor engagement
Compliance
- Track matching money for finance plan
- Conduct outreach to reclaim eligible match money; includes outreach to contributors via phone and email to obtain relevant information and documentation; working closely with campaign treasurer to track this outreach and necessary compliance forms
- Make sure all compliance-related forms for in-kinds and events are executed properly; working closely with finance team and treasurer to track this
Candidate non-fundraising staffing support
- Occasional staffing of the candidate at public facing events
- Sharing meeting debriefs with the team and relaying back schedule information as needed
Qualifications: This is an entry-mid level position, and requires attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, good judgment and an interest in the City of New York and all its residents and neighborhoods. Monthly fee for this role is $5,000. Previous work, internship or volunteer time in political campaigns, preferably in finance and/or fundraising, required.
