Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree. A minimum of four years of experience in intergovernmental relations and analysis, public policy research, technical writing, public relations, and/or a related field is required.

Recruitment Notes


The Chief of Policy and Strategic Operations position involves highly responsible and professional work within the Director’s Office. This position will provide strategic management and oversight over the administrative and legislative activities Department-wide. This position involves directing and administering countywide functions and responsibilities including overseeing the re-organization of the Department’s various legislative activities and administrative activities, with all legislative staff reporting through the Chief, thereby, streaming and standardizing current processes.

Pursuant to the authority in Chapter 8B of the Code of Miami-Dade County, when there is a declared state of emergency issued for any portion of Miami-Dade County, all employees of Public Housing and Community Development will be required to adhere to directives from the Mayor or the Mayor's designee to report to work and perform all duties assigned during a declared state of emergency.
