JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of EDIB Strategy and Implementation will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance APHSA’s EDIB goals. This role involves project management, strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace and advancing belonging in the Human Servies Sector.

Key Responsibilities #1: Strategic Planning and Communication (30%)

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EDIB strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify key metrics to measure the effectiveness of EDIB initiatives and provide regular reports on progress.
  • Collaborate with APHSA’s across departments and teams on strategies and processes to effectively showcase the breadth and depth of EDIB initiatives and outcomes related to APHSA’s member-facing services for the Human Services Sector.

Key Responsibilities #2: Project Management and Implementation: (30%)

  • Lead and manage EDIB-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to drive project success.
  • Collaborate with CEDIBO to develop tools and strategies to manage growth, forecast sustainability, and address the operational needs of APHSA.
  • Implement strategies to align w EDIB workflows and maximize impact across teams within APHSA.
  • Lead efforts to measure and quantify impact of APHSA’s services, including as an active steward of the EDIB OKR strategy and in collaboration with CEDIBO.

Key Responsibilities #3: Stakeholder Engagement (30%)

  • Collaborate with leadership, HR, and other departments to integrate EDIB initiatives into company practices.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and discussions to raise awareness and support for EDIB efforts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for EDIB within the organization.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communications related to EDIB initiatives.
  • Facilitate strategy development in implementation with external stakeholders and communities of practice.

Key Responsibilities #4: Data and Analytics

Data Analysis and Reporting (10%)

  • Analyze demographic data and other relevant metrics to assess the impact of EDIB programs.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for leadership and external parties to inform decision-making.
  • Manage Internal EDIB Metrics and Evaluation at the Department Level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative and team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing plans and goals for organizations.
  • Proficient understanding of public human services agencies and ability to quickly learn, analyze, and communicate effectively about human services.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six years of experience implementing strategy and process change within complex organizations. Experience with mission-oriented government or nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Experience in collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders and bringing different perspectives together.
  • Experience navigating complex organizational policies and practices to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Experience engaging with and including perspectives of multiple communities into the design and administration of work, and knowledge of how concepts of structural racism and bias impact underserved and underrepresented communities.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EDIB, with a strong background in project management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EDIB principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or EDIB (e.g., CDEI) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
