Job Duties:


The Manager, Regulatory Affairs position monitors and responds to relevant federal and state regulations. The Manager will collaborate closely with our federal and state teams, the RVIA legal department, RVIA members, and external consultants to track regulations, draft comments, and build relationships with regulatory bodies to advocate for the Association's priorities. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Government Affairs.


Key Responsibilities:


• Monitor regulatory actions by federal and state bodies, including the EPA and California Air Resources Board (CARB), among others.

• Collaborate with state and federal Government Affairs teams, consultants, the RVIA legal department, and RVIA members to draft and submit responses to proposed regulatory actions.

• Advocate for the Association's priorities with regulatory bodies.


Qualifications:


Education: College education required, post-graduate degree preferred.


Experience:


5+ years of work experience in regulatory affairs, preferably within an Association. Knowledge of state and/or federal regulatory processes.

• Familiarity with CARB and/or EPA regulatory process.

• Technical writing experience with a proven track record in drafting regulatory comments.

• Demonstrated ability and experience in working cross-functionally.

• Experience in coalition-building to draft joint comments.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with federal and state regulatory decision-makers.


Additional Information:


• Potential travel to states to appear before state regulatory bodies and to Washington, DC to meet with federal regulatory bodies.

• Attend Association events and or travel to meet with Association members.

• Flexibility for extended hours, including early morning or late evening meetings with regulatory bodies.
