Job Description


Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) seeks a Legislative Aide as a member of his personal office staff to cover a broad portfolio that includes both defense and non-defense issues (labor). Primary duties include providing top-notch constituent correspondence, supporting senior legislative staff within the portfolio, taking constituent meetings, conducting legislative research, and writing background memos. This individual will report to the legislative director and will support an MLA and an LA. Qualified candidates should have knowledge of the portfolio’s issues, strong organizational skills, and superior verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should be able to demonstrate ability to engage with a diverse array of stakeholders and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be a team player who is motivated to deliver for Pennsylvanians and should have an opinion as to whether Sheetz or Wawa is superior. Prior Hill or administration experience is preferred, and Pennsylvania ties are strongly welcomed, but not required. The annual salary for this position is $65,000.
