As a Director, Communications, you will focus on executing communication strategies and tactics for the team and build awareness and engagement for CI within Microsoft. You will enhance your communication skills as you engage, influence, and drive momentum directly with senior leaders and through your communication efforts with all employees across the organization. You will deliver measurable impact by collaborating across the organization, opening the door to significant career growth opportunities and advancement. This position is based in Redmond, with limited travel as required to achieve key business outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Execute our ongoing communications strategy to establish and enhance the Continuous Improvement brand within Microsoft.
- Design and run internal communication tactics across multiple channels, including SharePoint, social media, live events, and email.
- Create compelling content for all communication tactics, ensuring consistency and alignment with the Continuous Improvement brand.
- Serve as an internal Continuous Improvement brand subject matter expert, maintaining brand integrity across all communications.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve alignment with shared goals and ensure effective communication and engagement with our global audience.
- Mentor others in the execution of tactics to support overall strategy, ensuring consistency of voice across messages and channels.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Expertise in communication strategy development and execution.
- Proficiency in content creation, including copywriting, photography, photo/video editing, and content/campaign strategy.
- Experience managing internal communication channels and tactics.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in brand management and maintaining brand consistency.
- Proficient organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze and leverage data to inform communication strategies.
- Expertise in storytelling and messaging, with the ability to create narratives based on messaging frameworks.
- Knowledge of available communication channels and how to leverage them effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience creating and managing content across multiple communications channels
- 2+ years experience developing and executing communication strategies and tactics
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years specialized functional (e.g., retail, technology) experience
- Ability to mentor and guide others in communication best practices
Communications IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
