The Biden for President campaign is seeking a motivated and strategic individual to join our team as the Senior Advisor of Cultural Outreach. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and collaborate with celebrities, artists, influencers, and creators across various platforms to amplify Joe Biden's message and reach key voting blocs. Your primary goal will be to leverage the power of cultural figures and digital partnerships to drive awareness, engagement, and support for our campaign on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships: Act as the primary point of contact to establish and maintain strong relationships with leaders in the entertainment industry, as well as creators, influencers, and cultural figures across various platforms. Provide them with the necessary resources, information, and support to effectively promote our campaign.
  • Lead and manage teams: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to internal teams focused on entertainment surrogate engagements and digital partnerships. Ensure effective execution of strategies and achievement of campaign goals.
  • Develop outreach strategies: Design comprehensive strategies and outreach plans to engage celebrities, artists, influencers, and creators. Coordinate with internal teams to align partnership activities with overall campaign objectives and messaging.
  • Collaborate with different teams: Collaborate with various campaign teams, including Paid Media, Rapid Response, Video, Platforms, and State teams, to ensure the deployment of cultural figures and digital partnerships to reach voters across the country.
  • Track and analyze performance: Monitor and analyze the performance of partnerships and outreach efforts, including audience engagement, impact on campaign goals, and compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Stay current with trends: Keep abreast of emerging platforms, digital trends, and best practices to identify new partnership opportunities and innovative strategies for reaching target audiences.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts: Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to negotiate agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Compliance and disclosure: Ensure that all partnerships and influencer engagements comply with relevant legal and ethical guidelines, including proper disclosure practices.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience in influencer strategy/management, cultural outreach, or related roles within electoral campaigns, advocacy organizations, or nonprofits.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of various digital channels, including social media, influencer marketing, content marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to drive mutually beneficial agreements with agencies, creators, and cultural figures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think creatively and outside the box to enhance the campaign's cultural outreach and digital partnerships.
  • Familiarity with legal and ethical guidelines, including FEC regulations for sponsored content and proper disclosure practices.
  • Willingness to relocate to the Wilmington, Delaware area.

  • Additional Useful Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing consultants or vendors.
  • Experience in managing staff.

$140,000 - $185,000 a year
