Finance Director
North Shore Strategies – Pennsylvania Congressional District
Compensation: $7,000 - $8,000 per month
Start Date / End Date: May 2025 - November 2026
North Shore Strategies is seeking a full-time Finance Director to lead a competitive democratic congressional campaign’s fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of political fundraising, and the drive to build and execute a high-performing finance operation. This position requires a proactive, organized, and goal-oriented professional.
About the Role
As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the campaign’s finance plan to ensure the resources needed to win. You will manage call time, plan fundraising events, oversee donor communication, and maintain accurate finance records. You’ll work closely with the Campaign Manager, candidate, and consulting team to hit weekly, monthly, and quarterly fundraising goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the campaign’s financial goals, with an emphasis on immediately generating donations.
- Keep the candidate on track and accountable with daily call time and fundraising efforts.
- Set fundraising goals and create systems to regularly evaluate progress.
- Prepare for and staff all candidate call time, including producing call sheets and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Plan, execute, and oversee all fundraising events, both virtual and in-person.
- Maintain donor databases and track contributions using NGP software.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant campaign finance laws and regulations, including FEC reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with consultants and staff on online fundraising, mail, and other channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with high- and low-dollar donors, as well as develop and support a Finance Committee.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two cycles of campaign finance experience as a Finance Director, Finance Assistant, or Call Time Manager.
- Experience in all aspects of finance operations, including call time, events, digital, phone programs, and budget tracking.
- Currently residing in Pennsylvania, or willing to relocate.
- Valid driver's license and access to a car.
- Strong data management skills.
- Extremely organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be a collaborative team player.
- Passion for Democratic values and commitment to electing Democratic candidates.
- Availability to work nontraditional hours based on campaign needs.
