Job Description

Develop an annual agency fund-raising plan. Update the plan throughout the year. Participate in the identification and development of relationships with funders, institutions and community-based agencies that support the agency’s development and organizational objectives.

  • Prepare proposals and reports, for foundation, and corporation funding sources.
  • Assist with preparation of proposals and reports to governmental funding sources.
  • Source and research funding prospects: spot fundraising opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with potential donors,
  • Maintain fund-raising database, and track whether goals are being met.
  • Ensure major donors are satisfied and kept in the loop
  • Maintain development records, including but not limited to: (a) files of all proposals, contracts and reports; (b) an annual list of proposals and reports to be submitted, strategically organized by due date, department/program and other categories; (c) an annual list of agency requests secured, pending and yet to be submitted.
