We are the Center for Hope and Safety, offering support and resources for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. Since 1973, we strive to find new ways to meet the needs of survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our community. We are trauma-informed and dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team. We have an opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Leadership Team. This position provides Human Resource services to our leadership and employees with an emphasis on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, leaves, benefits, compensation, learning and development, and facilitation.
As the HR Manager, your role is instrumental in ensuring alignment of programs with organizational strategies and regulatory requirements. You will also have the opportunity to develop strategies and programs that promote an engaged workplace culture. We have under 40 employees who are both caring and committed to our mission. We also work with volunteers and interns who are an integral part of our agency.
This position requires the ability to be an HR department of one. As a result, we are looking for the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required
- 5+ years of human resources experience
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification preferred
Other requirements:
- Demonstrated ability with the Microsoft Office suite of products, knowledge of HRIS and other HR-related applications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, problem-solving and leadership skills
- Ability to take initiative and excel in an environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and external stakeholders
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee and client information
- Strong focus on diversity and inclusion as a human resource practice
This position reports to our Executive Director and works full-time, on-site at our office located in Salem.
