Regional Representative

The Office of Senator Michael Bennet seeks a Regional Representative for the Denver Metro region (Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Denver, Jefferson Counties). The position will report to the Denver Metro Regional Director.

This position will build and maintain strong relationships with constituents, government agencies, elected officials, and other stakeholders in the region. The Denver Metro Regional Representative will maintain a large presence in the Denver Metro area so that can easily access the office and its resources and will identify, track, and understand issues in the region to brief the Senator’s leadership, legislative, and communications team as needed. The Denver Metro Regional Representative will help prepare for and execute the Senator’s visits and events in the region, including event planning, logistics, briefing memos, and advance staffing.

Ideal candidates will have experience in public service or community organizing, and strong ties to the Denver Metro area and the state of Colorado. The ability to interact professionally, confidently, and compassionately with members of the public, including elected and state and federal agency officials. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Proven multi-tasking and time management skills. Ability to work on tight timelines and troubleshoot. Ability to travel sometimes on short notice and work odd hours and weekends as needed. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Spanish speaking is a plus.

The salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000. The Senate provides comprehensive benefits including health insurance, student loan repayment based on eligibility, paid time off, parental leave, and retirement. The position will be located in Denver, Colorado.
