Job Description
The Corporate Sustainability team works to advance sustainability in the financing activities of JPMorgan Chase’s lines of business. The team manages several key priorities, including: the development and implementation of firmwide sustainability and climate-related targets; sustainability-related publications and narrative; and stakeholder engagement.
As an Executive Director in Corporate Sustainability, you will be responsible for coordinating and shaping the firm's external sustainability profile. You will maintain our presence at key global events and a suite of strategic partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academic institutions, and other key stakeholders to advance JPMorganChase's sustainability goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute against a unified, firmwide strategy for participation in high-profile sustainability events, New York Climate Week, and London Climate Action Week
- Lead global cross-functional teams to maximize impact, elevate the Firm’s executives, and ensure message alignment at high-profile events, including organizing panels and speaking engagements
- Lead global engagement with a suite of strategic relationships with NGOs, academic institutions, and other stakeholders, coordinating with stakeholders across the firm to ensure adequate coverage.
- Develop long-term strategies to strengthen JPMorganChase's leadership position in sustainability in partnership with Corporate Responsibility, Government Relations and Market Leadership teams
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications to develop messaging and communications strategies for strategic engagement initiatives
- Prepare reports for senior management on sustainability engagements and their outcomes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 10+ years of experience in sustainability, public policy, corporate social responsibility, or related fields
- Disciplined, rigorous, and data-driven approach to strategy development, execution, and monitoring
- Structured and collaborative problem-solver
- Establish a performance model to include clear and measurable goals, priorities and accountabilities centered on business result
- Create an organizational structure and culture designed to engage and motivate across all levels
- Foster inclusiveness and champion DEI values, leadership competencies, and the Firm’s core values
- Comfort building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad set of functional partners within a large, matrixed organization.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Ability and appetite to quickly develop expertise on new and emerging topics
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure
- Excellent communication; able to distill and present complex information plainly and succinctly
- Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field
