Staff Assistant Opportunity:


 The Alpine Group, located in Washington DC, is seeking a Staff Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position at a fast-paced top 20 lobbying firm. The right candidate for this position possesses integrity, maturity, energy, the ability to multi-task, strong oral and written communication skills, and a “can-do” attitude. He/she should be punctual, highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and computer savvy. Additionally, he/she must be willing to work after hours occasionally and able to take on ad-hoc projects as needed.


The primary objectives of this position are to provide the day-to-day administrative support, calendar management, research and event support. This position is critical to the successful management of all Alpine Group clients and includes a heavy emphasis on organization, efficiency, and communication skills.


Preferred qualifications include previous Capitol Hill or Executive Branch experience, proofreading and editing skills, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple tasks with competing priorities.


An ability to see gaps in client coverage and an aptitude that allows them to be filled is an important element of this position. Success will be tied to an ability to be a self-starter and not simply task oriented. Being familiar with the Congressional schedule and possessing an understanding of the issues of importance to those within the firm will be valuable. An ability to bring questions and provide alerts on the variety of topics covered is valued.


This is a full-time position, pay is commensurate with experience and full benefits offered.
