Public Service Intern

The Office of Senator Angela Alsobrooks is seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and hardworking students and recent graduates committed to public service to intern in our Washington, D.C. office this summer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the daily operations of a U.S. Senate office, assist with constituent services, conduct research, and support office staff.

Internship Details

• Term: Mid-May to mid-August 2025
• Sessions:
• Session 1: May 19 – June 27
• Session 2: July 7 – August 15
• Commitment: Interns must work a minimum of 20–24 hours per week, with schedules typically ranging from 22–26 hours per week.
• Eligibility: Applicants must be rising college sophomores or older and available for the full duration of one of the two summer sessions.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess:

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• A demonstrated eagerness to learn about the political process
• Maryland ties are encouraged but not required
