Job Description

The Mobilization Department seeks a digital ad strategist to join a team of DNC and Harris for President staffers responsible for the record-breaking Harris Victory Fund advertising program. You’ll produce, build, and scale ambitious campaigns to mobilize donors to help elect Kamala Harris and Democrats nationwide in November.

Responsibilities

    • Traffic and scale hundreds of direct-response Meta ads delivered by the @KamalaHarris and @KamalaHQ pages, and monitor massive budgets daily to ensure strong performance—this will be the primary responsibility of this role.
    • Use large swaths of performance data from the Analytics team to identify and share fundraising insights and iterate on successful ad content.
    • Write ad copy and video scripts for Kamala Harris, celebrities, and political surrogates, adapting to a wide range of principal voices and audiences.
    • Work with creative colleagues to produce compelling graphics and videos.
    • Move campaigns through complex approval processes.
    • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the DNC and Harris for President campaign.

Qualifications

    • Very comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, organizing data, troubleshooting).
    • Either have hands-on experience using Meta Ads Manager or experience quickly learning a complicated digital platform and delivering results.
    • Detail, deadline, and process-oriented – you catch typos, grammatical errors, broken links, and extra zeros, and are capable of maintaining ambitious timelines and organized systems.
    • Stay positive, accountable, and solutions-oriented amidst ambiguity and rapid change.
    • Ability to tailor your writing to different messengers, audiences, and goals.
    • Communicate clearly and promptly when you have questions or face obstacles at work.
    • Must be in or be willing to relocate to D.C. and work in person most days of the week.
    • Willing to work late evenings, weekends, and on a rapid response basis to capitalize on significant campaign moments.
    • Familiarity with digital advertising and fundraising
    • Experience working closely with analytics and creative teams
    • Experience on a campaign, or at a political/advocacy organization or non-profit
The starting salary for this role is $52,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
