The Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Deputy Assistant Sergeant at Arms for Emergency Preparedness and Continuity for its Office of Security, Emergency Preparedness and Continuity. The Deputy Assistant Sergeant at Arms (DASAA) for Emergency Preparedness & Continuity provides expert, strategic and operational advice, development, and supervision to a team of directors, managers, and professional staff that work with the United States Capitol Police and Senate and House Officers’ organizations on emergency preparedness and continuity plans. The DASAA should have significant experience in strategic planning, emergency management, operations center management, and continuity of government programs. Proven leadership, excellent oral and written skills, well-developed managerial abilities, and the capacity to lead in a fast-paced, operational environment are required.
