Position Overview:
StreetWise Partners is seeking a visionary and strategic Senior Director of Corporate Engagement to lead our corporate engagement program across the NYC and DC Metro Areas. This pivotal role is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners who provide vital support through funding, volunteers, employment opportunities, and event spaces. Each year, our partnerships team engages with over 40 companies and hosts more than 70 volunteer events, including mock interviews, resume reviews and other exciting workshops to advance the careers of our job seekers.
The Senior Director of Corporate Engagement will drive business development, manage a portfolio of high-priority corporate accounts, and lead a team that activates our partnerships.
This hybrid role provides flexibility, with 1 day per week in the office and 1-2 days dedicated to external meetings and events.
This position reports to the Chief Partnerships Officer and is based in New York City, with occasional travel to Washington, DC—averaging two trips per quarter, 10% travel annually.
Your Role Will Include:
- Driving Revenue Growth: Lead the Corporate Engagement team in scaling revenue from $800K to $2M over the next two years, including securing $200K in new revenue within 12 months.
- Strategic Business Development: Build a robust prospect pipeline of 30+ potential corporate partners through research, targeted outreach, and community networking. You will engage potential partners aligned with StreetWise Partners’ mission and values.
- Innovative Cultivation and Engagement: Develop and implement creative cultivation strategies to engage corporate partners, utilizing innovative presentations, outreach methods, and mutually beneficial proposals to build long-term partnerships.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with corporate partners, crafting agreements that align with organizational goals and ensuring successful closure of financial commitments.
- Corporate Account Management: Manage a portfolio of 10+ high-value corporate accounts, each contributing an average of $25K or more annually across key sectors such as financial services, technology, and consulting.
- Leading a High-Performing Team: Lead,and develop a corporate engagement team (two full-time and one part-time staff), fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability while motivating the team to meet ambitious goals.
- Event Management and Volunteerism: Oversee the successful execution of 70+ corporate volunteer events annually, ensuring a high standard of service and impactful experiences that align with corporate partners' and programmatic needs.
- Fundraising Initiatives: Drive key fundraising initiatives such as Matching Gifts, Volunteer Grants, and employee giving campaigns to maximize corporate contributions.
- Community Presence and Networking: Represent StreetWise Partners at networking events and community engagements, building strong relationships with community leaders and corporate influencers to elevate our presence and foster new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless activation of partnerships, aligning corporate engagement efforts with organizational objectives.
- Trend Analysis and Market Awareness: Stay ahead of emerging trends in DEI, corporate social responsibility, and early talent acquisition, leveraging these insights to drive growth and expand partnerships.
Qualifications You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in partnership fundraising, marketing, sales, sponsorship procurement, business development, or strategic partnerships, particularly in large-scale non-profit or for-profit collaborations.
- Proven success in closing five-figure gifts and managing high-level corporate accounts.
- Strong leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a high-performing team.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a track record of maintaining long-term corporate partnerships.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in digital tools such as Google Calendar, G-Chat, Asana, and Salesforce.
